John Samuels

Professor John Samuels, Emeritus Professor (Business Finance), University of Birmingham, United Kingdom After a brief career in industry John moved to academic life. Among his appointments, he was the first head of the Birmingham Business School, Pro Vice chancellor at the University of Birmingham and President of the European Accounting Association. Upon retiring from academic life, he maintained his interest in football, particularly the business aspects of the game. He has written two books on football; "The Beautiful Game is Over" and "Where Did it all go Wrong"
