In section 1 will explore the possibilities of “educational vouchers”. During our last event on board governance, we noted that boards have a demand in knowledge of “how to govern”. “Edu-vouchers” could be a good response to this need. Section 2 will explore the possibilities of internal currencies. Internal voucher can be used between members for various transactions such as paying membership fees or paying for small favours. Money is created and cooperation is encouraged. We could create our own currency and at the same time also do something good. How to implement such systems of mutual help? How to avoid high bank transfer fees? How to keep track of the exchange operations? What are the tax implications? We show you an example from the field. NGOs could have their own wire-money – but here is a spoiler: No, you do not learn how to circumvent UN-sanctions. No, we do not teach you how to cover illicit transactions. And no, you will not earn millions. It is a tool for members of internationally operating charities, and only that.
